On December 5th it will be Gary and my fourth anniversary. I just happened to be looking through some old emails he sent me when we had only known each other for a few months and I found this amazing poem he quoted from one of my favorite French poets, Paul Eluard:
I have separated nothing but I have doubled my
heart,
From loving I have created everything: real,
imaginary,
I gave its reason, its shape, its warmth
And its immortal role to the woman who brings me
light....
Swoon! I am the luckiest!

Congratulations! Your wedding remains one of the most beautiful I've attended. I'm happy to see that your love has only grown since then.
My third anniversary with Neil is later this month. I owe this in some small part to you; you gave me some wonderful advice when I first started dating him that certainly helped me through some rough patches.
I hope I'll see you again one of these days. :)
