Brooke and Matt were married in Lexington, KY at the Red Mile Barn. It was an absolutely gorgeous day in October (see, I told you I was behind on blogging!). We definitely lucked out with the weather and it shows in the photographs!
Brooke came to my studio about a week or two before the wedding to do bridals (you can see the post HERE) and we had a fantastic time. She is -- of course -- completely gorgeous. And her dress was so perfect for her. At the end of her session she felt so comfortable with me and the camera that she actually let me fix her hair. I have to say I am no stylist but I loved what happened from the coiffure I styled (again, check out the bridals post).
Luckily I had already had the opportunity to meet both Matt and Brooke's mother. It is always wonderful to see familiar faces at a wedding (I love seeing past clients!). The day was beautiful. The sun came out wonderfully for the ceremony and photographs and the reception was fantastic, with the venerable Kevin Moreland presiding over the musical accouterments. You can't NOT have fun with Kevin doling out the tunes. So on to the photographic representation of the perfect day:
Brooke's shoes were so cute, with the little bows. So I just tied them right together for this photo. Brooke did divulge, though, that they were not very comfortable...but a great pair of shoes is worth a certain amount of pain! ;)

One of my favorite couple photos I have taken recently. I love the composition of the windows and the awesome shadow of the tree. This is a photo that needs to be really, really large to be appreciated. Also on the list of wonderfully huge canvas wraps going in the new studio!

I love the bridesmaid's expression in this photo. This is right after the portraits were taken and a wee bit of wine was spilled on Brooke's dress. White wine, I do believe and I am nearly certain it was only on the veil and came out fairly easily.

Brooke and her mom. It was obvious to me that they had such a close relationship. It was so beautiful to see them interact and see their bond. Mothers are so amazing and so worth every joyful tear!
Amy and I talked Matt into a few "Bridals" of his own at the end of the evening. Should I call these "Groomals?" or just a "Man Session"? ;)
Heather and Pat were married in September but we just recently had the time to take her bridal photographs this month. Well, that and she had to send her dress to NYC to a specialized cleaner because at the wedding reception someone spilled a red drink on it! (Don't worry, Heather had a fabulous dress she simply changed into that evening, and danced the night away regardless!). We waited for a few months with baited breath to see if it would return anew and it did! Perfection! And so on to her gorgeous bridals!

Heather had black and clear Louis XIV chairs at her wedding reception and I happened to own a white one so we shot these images with the chair
I love this one above! It is so magical.
And this one is so beautiful. I am deciding between one of the bottom two for huge canvas prints in the new studio (new studio? More info on that later!). She looks so serene and beautiful. It is so mysterious. I love it!
Jessica and Chip were married in October of this year in Bloomington, Indiana. I don't know what it is about that city but every time I photograph there it is so beautiful.
Jessica and Chip are fantastic. I just adored them as soon as I met them. They came down a few weeks prior to the wedding and had their engagements done and we had a great time. They are so easy to photograph! I feel like a broken record but I have the best clients. I do. I know I do. My clients are amazing. They are fabulous and fun-loving, they appreciate art and they are amazing to be around. A kiss to the heavens -- I am so lucky to do what I do!
I have so many weddings to share so next week I will be catching back up! I have to post about Elly and Chris and Emily and Daniel ( I did not forget!! ).

I have been absolutely terrible about updating. But my 29th birthday was Friday and the husband, Gary, turned 30 on Tuesday. I planned a surprise birthday party for him. I will be sure to share some photos!
