I did it! And I am not stopping there either! My super-busy schedule has always kept me wishing I would post more on my blog. I finally figured it out: I have to carve out time to do this, I have to make it a priority. I know so many people (so many it kinda makes me blush) read the blog and I need to give them more reading material!
A few weeks ago Jessica and Chip came up from Georgia to have their engagements photographs taken. I had already met up with Jessica and her mother a number of months before and was super-excited to see her again. It was really fantastic to meet Chip as well since their wedding is at the beginning of October and I had just had a run of weddings where I had never met the groom before the day (and sometimes not the bride either!). I love engagements for many reasons. One big one is that I get to know my clients so much better and they get to know me. I think it is a great experience that helps my couples handle the wedding day photography even better. When I photograph a wedding where the couple has already done engagements it is like they are newly crowned superstars. They make such great moves and are not afraid to display such great emotion. They also feel so much more comfortable in front of the camera, and it shows!
I am very much looking forward to hanging out with Jessica and Chip again in just a few short weeks up in Bloomington, Indiana.
I like the "breaking the barrier" of this photograph. You can see the backdrop and set up. It makes the photograph seem so much less formal.
I like the colors in this one and thought it was a cute moment between them.
I think this photo says a lot about both Jessica and Chip's personalities and, honestly, why my clients are the best clients to have!
I love the colors of this building. That blue is so beautiful. It kinda matched Chip's shirt so that was a bonus!
Jessica looking fabulous.
A definite favorite
My associate, Amy, came out to the session for fun. And she got some super-awesome shots. I really like these three photos presented in a triptych form.
Yeah, an obvious favorite. How cute is that absolutely perfect kiss that is taking place?
Another fave. I always have this problem: Too many fantastic photos. How can I choose??
Another cool photo from Amy.
