So sometimes I just feel in the mood to talk about things I love, things that make me happy.
#1, As soon as they walked out the door I wished I had taken a photograph of them so I could post it on the blog. I love, love my newest couple clients. Christie and Justin! I had emailed back and forth with Christie for a few weeks while we were setting up a day to meet at the studio. So when she came in the door I already felt like I knew her! They are so fantastic! I love it when I meet new clients and they make me thank goodness again and again that I have the job I do. I love it. Christie and I chatted and chatted. Justin did not even check out (ok, some guys do, especially when we start talking about dresses and flowers and the like), he was so charming and fun to be around. It is just a bummer that I have to wait until next July to photograph their assuredly gorgeous Spindletop wedding!
#2, Elizabeth Fillmore & Heather and Pat! I just did an engagement session for my September 7th couple (this year), Heather and Pat. Oh my gosh it was awesome. Pat knows my mentor, Jim Hall (when you go to Jim's site click on "appear to disappear" and the fourth photo thumbnail is yours truly!!), and we chatted about how amazing Jim is. Pat is so fantastic. He is such a patron of the arts and has such fabulous taste (as does Heather, oh my goodness wait till I tell you about her wedding plans!). We took forever taking photos because we could not stop chatting. Well, that and we opened a bottle of champagne. ;) Oh and Elizabeth Filmore! OK girls, hold your breaths, Heather went to NYC with a stylist to pick out her wedding gown. I know, *swoon*! And she chose an amazing Elizabeth Filmore gown. I went and checked out Fillmore's website and fell immediately in love. Check it out and tell me which ones are your favorites. (click on her name above to be routed to her website) My favorites are Simone, Claudia, Baroness, Celeste, Jade and I love the bed jacket on Mia. Honestly I love too many to name.
#3, Flight of the Conchords. Have you seen this show? It comes on Sunday evenings at 10:30pm EST. Unbelievable. I am completely enamored with Bret and Jermaine. Their humor is dry and off and I think it is fabulous. Makes me want to move to NYC immediately and become their band-stalker just like Meg on the show. Wait until you see their music videos. And last episode they had David Bowie (actually Jermaine dressed up as David Bowie) on it, set in different times of his career. I laughed so hard.
#4, And this fantastic dress in awesome red at Nordstrom's online (I love red):
#5, My new bike. It is an Electra Townie. Now I just need to find the time to take it to the park and ride it with my friend, Ellen.
