Jessi + James

I have been looking forward to Jessi and James' wedding ever since their engagement session back in August of 06. They were both so fun to work with and I loved how their personalities came across in the photos. Both of them were transferred to the Netherlands right after we met so I know that wedding planning must have been so difficult for them! I could not imagine planning from out of state, let alone out of the country!

If their wedding is what happens when people plan from another continent then more people should plan from afar because the wedding was fantastic! It was a gorgeous day in May and the sun was perfect. The Idle Hour country club was a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony and a gorgeous setting for the reception (loved those chandeliers!). Jessi was radiant, I loved her whole look. I also thought the suits the guys wore were awesome. It reminded me very  much of a Cape Cod or Hampton wedding. 

It was a pleasure!

ON THE LOT: Fox at 9pm (EST)

Hello readers!

I am so excited because tonight at 9pm there is a new reality show airing on Fox. I would naturally be addicted to this show, just as I am addicted to Shear Genius, Top Chef and Project Runway but I have even more reason than usual! One, the show is about filmmakers and my husband is a cinematographer and editor and two, I love movies and am obviously a very visual person and three, the best one, our good buddy JASON EPPERSON is on the show!

The show is about a group of 50 (narrowed down from 12,000!)  filmmakers/directors trying to win a $1M budget to shoot with Steven Spielberg. As I mentioned my husband is a cinematographer and has worked with Jason a ton over the years. Jason is from KY and is part of the top 50! The show judges by an "America votes" system so I am hoping some of you can watch the show and vote for Jason. He is a sweetheart of a guy and really talented. My husband, Gary, did the cinematography for his first two films that will be on the show (I know one of them is called "Getta Rhoom").

Anyway...just wanting to get the word out. Jason is absolutely deserving -- he works so hard and my husband and I just adore him. He and his wife recently had a baby boy so I know it must be tough for him to be away from his family -- but if he wins...!!

I am so excited!!!!!!!!! I am counting down the hours!

Molly : Bridals

Yesterday I had the  pleasure of photographing our June 2nd bride, Molly's, bridals. Molly has gorgeous coloring  and beautiful red hair. I was so excited to try out the color combinations I had in mind -- and of course my infamous fainting sofa! And it does not hurt that Molly is gorgeous and had a stunning vintage dress.

Now Molly told me I could post these on my blog so if her fiance Greg sneaks a peek he will be in big trouble! Molly said that he won't though, and that her dress has been at their home all this  time and he has been a good boy not to peek. So we are going to trust Greg!

Huy + Chris: May 12, 2007

Huy and Chris' wedding this past weekend was another perfect day. The weather was beautiful and the location was photogenic. Both their ceremony and reception was held at  the Audubon Country Club. Having just been there in January for Kristen and Tom's wedding I knew I was in for a gorgeous setting. I love the colors on the walls in the Audubon. One room is a very warm yellow and another is a rose color. The two offset each other so surprisingly well and do well for photos (i.e. the cake cutting photos typically). Huy and Chris were fantastic to work with -- they were even up for a short game of tennis! ;)

Brandi and Steve had a gorgeous wedding day. On a day that had a serious chance for some showers instead the sun shined through the clouds. The Talon was gorgeous and the awesome fine details arranged by Kristen and her team at Creme Planning were a highlight. The ceremony was gorgeous. The reception food was fantastically prepared and presented by DaRae and Friends Catering. Brandi and Steve's entrance and first dance was really lovely. You'll see the photo below. The cake was an awesome tower of cupcakes done by Martine. I loved the roving saxophone's player serenading them (The Music Difference/Kevin Moreland). And the flowers were beautiful (Chambliss Design). Kristen and Brandi really chose some of the best possible vendors. I have worked often with all of these folks and they always go above and beyond in service and presentation (and they are really cool people too)!

Everyone was in wonderful spirits!  It was a flawless day! I cannot wait to share the photos with the bride and groom when they return from Thailand!
